A little gratitude

Hello dear ones!

I’ve recently been writing my acknowledgments page for the back of Prophecy of Three. About a page in I realized I would never be able to name everyone that I felt I should. For that I am eternally grateful. Not all authors have the same supportive bunch of family, friends, and readers that I have. I am immeasurably lucky to know all of you, and have your support.  Thank you.

Things are really rolling along on my end. I am a little over two months out from publication which means editing like mad, and loads of administrative duties, such as writing a synopsis for online retailers, learning how best to market/price, and setting up author profiles on various sites. You can follow me on Goodreads as well as Facebook now. Just search Ashley McLeo to add Prophecy of Three to your “want to read” list. There’s so much to learn in the publishing world it’s crazy!

On a more personal note, I’m also currently enrolled in a 200 hour yoga teacher training program. It keeps me practicing yoga when I’d probably be holed up typing away and is a constant source of wellness inspiration. So far I can only teach sun salutations effectively, but the course goes until November so don’t worry I’ll actually know some legit stuff by the end! This course has also helped me flesh out and give depth to one of my favorite characters in Prophecy. I wonder if you’ll guess who it is?

Anyhow, I just wanted to drop you all a line, let you know what’s up, and that I’m thankful for you.

Sending love and light,

Ashley

A Writer’s Story

Hello!

I’m so glad you could join me on this journey. It is a moment a long time in the making. Everyone tells you that your first novel takes forever, years usually, and they were right. I’ve always known I would write a book, though I never thought it’d be a book like this. I always thought it would be something scientific, medical, and probably very dry. I’m pleased to say Prophecy of Three is none of those things. 🙂

As it turns out, my interests in Irish lore, witches, world myths, and religion, combined with a particularly uncreative, uninspiring time in my life, collided all at once in the form of a fantasy novel, and Prophecy of Three was born.

Prophecy is the story of three young women, long awaited by cults for millennia as the saviors of humanity from an ancient alien race.

But first, someone must tell them of their destiny.
