I just wrapped up Hot and Steamy Con in Vancouver, Washington. I leave feeling tired and grateful.
This past weekend I saw so many loyal readers and friends! People who love The Winter Court series as well as some of my lesser-known works. For a full-time author who rarely sees people at all in her day to day, that can be both overwhelming and amazing. For me, it fills my cup to see the readers whose lives are changed by stories (not just mine!). To get to talk face to face with someone who understands the value of experiencing a life that is not one’s own. I find that quality to be somewhat rare these days. And of course, to speak with people who appreciate the human element in storytelling and prefer it to AI that seems to be encroaching on our world.
As ever, I wish I had taken more photos, but time gets away from you at these things. Other photos were taken, just on readers’ phones! Also I know that official photos were taken by a photographer, but I don’t get to keep those.
